The Sears Tower in Chicago has installed four “floating” glass viewing platforms to offer visitors a unique view of the city…a view that looks to be as much an experience as a scenic outlook.

If you’re scared of heights, it may be time to look away now.

Not content with having the tallest building in America, the owners of Sears Tower in Chicago have installed four glass box viewing platforms which stick out of the building 103 floors up.

The balconies are suspended 1,353 feet in the air and jut out four feet from the building’s Skydeck

I know that the Grand Canyon built their own glass bridge, but it’s got solid sides and doesn’t, to my way of thinking, give the same kind of experience as the new sky boxes in Chicago. Not that I’ve tried either one, but both have now been added to my vacation destinations list.
